bulletThe event to watch is the Winter Olympics in Utah - there's going to be an investigation. (This has come to pass with the investigation of the French skating judge)

bulletPresident Bush has managed the "War on Terrorism" well so far. But there's going to be an instance of him using excessive force that the American people will not be too happy about in the next year and a half. In fact, it'll have an impact on his re-election.

bulletThere will be health problems for Dick Cheney, perhaps a resignation in early 2003.

bulletBritney Spears and Justin Timberlake will announce their engagement.

bulletFlorida Governor Jeb Bush will be re-elected without any problems.

bulletJennifer Lopez will get pregnant before the end of the year.

bulletCeline Dion will have another pregnancy.

bulletMadonna, or someone of her stature, will become entangled in a lawsuit involving a fan and theft, possibly a copyright infringement, but more likely concerning some intangible object.

bulletChristina Aguilera will release an album in late winter or early spring, and follow it up with a summer tour.

bulletMichael Jackson will be involved in a paternity suit.

bulletA NASA launch involving animals will create a lot of problems with the animal-rights people.

bulletAn accident or injury will sideline a star wrestler - someone like the Rock - for much of the year.

bulletMichael Jordan will take the Washington Wizards into the NBA playoffs, but they won't go far.
